It Takes Guts! 21 Day Challenge

Getting Started with Your 21 Day Challenge TEAM

    Dear Team Captain,

Thank you for signing up for the inaugural It Takes Guts! 21 Day Challenge. This event is a great way to create positive change in the lives of you, your family, and your friends.  We are excited to have this opportunity to work with you and your team.

Making a change is hard! As team captain, you have a great responsibility to spur on your team members. They will be looking to you for support in order to see this commitment through. As team captain, you will also be leading the fundraising efforts for your team. To support your team efforts, we offer some tips:

    1. Register as a team captain and include your team name.

    2. Make a list of potential people for your team.

    3. Think about whether you want to have a team goal or individual goals for the Challenge.

    4. Invite your family members, friends, co-workers, team members, church members, your mail-person, etc. Consider reaching out via social media sites too!

    5. Send your team members your team name and the registration link: http://goo.gl/houXvU. Registration is open until October 19, 2013.

    6. As a team, decide if you are going to fundraise.* If yes, download and print the fundraising packet.

    7. Join the community by sharing your team name, members, challenge(s), and fundraising goal on our Facebook page.

    8. Beginning October 20th, do your thing for 21 days! You can participate in a gym, on a trail, or even in your kitchen! Your unique health goal determines where your challenge takes place.

    9. Call or email team members regularly, even daily, to update them on your progress and cheer them on.

    10. Ta-da! By November 9th you will have improved your health, supported your team, all while helping those with hereditary colon cancer. Give yourself a pat on the back!
