In Memoriam: David Quadrini
February 12, 1973 - January 4, 2014
David Quadrini was a loving father to Nolan J. and Anna A. Quadrini. He was the beloved son of Barbara R. Schipper and Domenic A. Quadrini. He was the cherished brother of Mark S. Quadrini.
David, a resident of Dundalk, Maryland, had over twenty years of experience in the transportation industry. His last job was with CSX as a logistics manager and prior to that, he was branch manager for the Elkton branch of Hale, Trailer and Brake.
David graduated from Woodson High School in Fairfax, Virginia and attended Dundalk Community College where he was a left-handed pitcher. He was influenced by and knew Roger Clemens and was an avid baseball player and fan. He enjoyed watching football...especially his home team, the Baltimore Ravens. He grew up in Wakefield, Rhode Island and he maintained lifelong ties to his friends and family there.
His Journey’s Just Begun
~ By Ellen Brenneman
Don’t think of him as gone away –
his journey’s just begun;
life holds so many facets –
this earth is only one.
Just think of him as resting
from the sorrows and the tears
in a place of warmth and comfort
where there are no days and years.
Think how he must be wishing
that we could know, today,
how nothing but our sadness
can really pass away.
And think of him as living
in the hearts of those he touched…
for nothing loved is ever lost…
and he was loved so much!
“It took me a while to figure that out and to realize what a gift that I had been given. And when I finally did, I dedicated myself to be the best pitcher I possibly could be, for as long as I possibly could be.”
David's family has requested that donations made in David's honor be used to educate
other patients and their families so they may effectively advocate for their own health care.
